Working world believe that human resources are the ones who excel not only have the skills the hard skills but also excellent in soft skill aspects. Education World also revealed that according to a study at Harvard University United States a person’s success was not determined solely by the knowledge and technical skills (hard skills), but more by the ability to manage ourselves and others (soft skills). This study reveals, success is determined only approximately 20% by the hard skills and the remaining 80% of soft skills.
Today many developing countries provide a larger portion for the content of the hard skills, it can be said even more oriented to learning the hard skills alone. Then how much it should charge in soft skills curriculum?, If considering that the real determinant of a person’s success is more due to the soft skillnya elements.
General weakness of the field of soft skills inherent character in a person. It takes effort to change it. However, soft skills is not something stagnant. This ability can be honed and improved in line with work experience. There are many ways of improving soft skills. One of them is through learning by doing. Also soft skills can be sharpened and improved by way of following the training and management seminars. Although, one powerful way to improve the soft skills is to interact and do activities with other people.
